Our pieces are crafted from carefully selected materials. Please treat with care to ensure lasting quality:
- Always store your piece in our protective bag with our silk paper tucked inside.
- When travelling remove straps and store them inside the bag to protect their form.
- Avoid direct dampness. Should it get wet, please dry immediately.
- Clean your bag with a soft and dry cloth.
Every leather accessory is handmade, which means each piece is unique—variations in texture, tone, and form are a testament to true craftsmanship.
Caring for Your Hardware
At Beorht, all our brass hardware pieces are gold-plated, offering a luxurious finish and timeless appeal. However, gold is a soft metal, which means it requires careful handling. If not treated gently, it can irremediably scratch over time.
To help protect the gold-plated hardware:
- Keep it away from water, alcohol-based products, and cosmetics like perfume or lotion.
- Avoid friction with hard surfaces or rough handling.
- After use, gently wipe hardware with a soft, dry cloth, and store your bag in its dust bag in a cool, dry place.
Proper care will preserve the beauty of your Beorht piece, but once scratched, hardware cannot be restored to its original state. Prevention is the best form of protection.
Strap Care
Our strap system is highly efficient and crafted with premium materials. However, like any high-quality product, it requires proper care to maintain both its functionality and appearance.
Please remember to remove the straps and place them back inside the bag after each use, just as you received them on the first day.
Keep in mind that leather is a noble yet moldable material. If the bag is left hanging with weight inside, the strap holes may stretch over time, which can affect the fit and potentially make the bag unusable.
Taking care of it is simple and will make a lasting difference in its durability.
12-month Guarantee
We offer a 12-month guarantee from the date of purchase, which covers manufacturing faults in materials and craftsmanship. To make a claim, you’ll need to send us clear photos of the issue to hello@beorht.com. Our team will review them and confirm whether the case falls within the guarantee.
Please note:
- Natural wear and tear — such as leather marks, stains, or changes in the bag’s shape — are not covered.
- Hardware damage is excluded from the guarantee, as gold-plated components are particularly delicate and can scratch if not looked after.
